At Amdi Driving School, we are very pleased to hear the announcement from the transport secretary that driving lessons and theory tests will be able to restart in England from 2nd December!

The practical driving tests can be taken from the 2nd of December.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said:

“Driving lessons and tests are vital in helping people get to work and visit loved ones, and provide the skills for a lifetime of safe driving,”

This really is fantastic news, not just for us as a business but also for the people who want to learn to drive and just a great sign for the immediate future, as things slowly return to a sense of normality.

We appreciate that people have been very frustrated since this whole lockdown saga began for their own personal reasons, some of those reasons will be the postponing of their driving lessons, but from December 4th onwards you will be able to start again. Theory tests will have to take place with social distancing measures in place to help prevent the virus from spreading.
